A learning disability is a classification in which a person has difficulty learning in a typical manner. This disorder can make it difficult for people to learn as quickly or in the same manner as someone who is not affected by a learning disability. People with learning disabilities have difficulty performing specific tasks or skills if left to perform them by themselves or only in conventional ways. Students who are gifted may have exceptional ability. These students also also need differentiated instruction so they can stay interested in learning.

Teachers in the middle and high school level can find these resources helpful to differentiate instruction to help not only students with disabilities to reach their goal, but to also help students that are having a difficult time reaching their learning goals. Also students may need differentiated instruction when they are performing above grade level. With these resources teachers can research alternative paths.
